I have compiled a list of tutorials in several different formats. I've also researched the sites and have coded the tutorials based on how the information is delivered. 
Joomla Tutorials (V, C) 
Probably one of the best resources for learning the Basics to get around Joomla. Video demonstrations as well as face-to-face training in most major cities. They offer many helpful links and tips to extend Joomla. 
 
SiteGround (P) 
Online training with screen captures and clear directions make this a quick way to get up and running on Joomla.
